Free Walking Tour of the Denver Union Station Project Offered this Summer.    

Members Peg Ekstrand and Tom Jenson will be conducting a FREE walking tour of the Denver Union Station redevelopment site for members of OSLC on Saturday, July 9, 2011.  The tour will begin at 10:00 a.m.  The one-hour tour will depart from the main entrance of the historic station on Wynkoop Street.  The walking tour will include information on the storied history of Union Station from the late 1800s to the present day. 

You will learn about the early station buildings and famous travelers who visited Denver by train along with the rise of LoDo, hear about the new Union Station Neighborhood and its transformation of downtown and witness construction of the largest transportation redevelopment project in North America firsthand.  Parking is available in pay lots around the station as well as at meters on the street.
