| St. Baldrick's Cancer Fundraiser |
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. While volunteers are busy raising funds, researchers are busy applying for St. Baldrick’s grants. Research saves lives. At St. Baldrick's events, people from all walks of life shave their heads in solidarity and in the process discover a power they didn't know they had...the power to bring hope and a future to the bravest kids in the world. And countless volunteers say, "St. Baldrick's is the best thing I've ever done to help someone." In this year’s event, Pastor Paul Carlson and David Hoth participated and represented Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and Fado Irish Pub. Although bith have been duly shaved, they are still accepting donations for this worthy cause. If you would like to donate, please check out the St. Baldrick website. |
Each year, 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer worldwide. Cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the U.S. and Canada.
